Middleton Civic Center Masterplan Concept – Middleton, Idaho

The City of Middleton hired Modus to renovate their historic 783 sf Civic Center Building. We worked closely with the Historic Preservation Society and the City of Middleton to develop a program for the Civic Center. The programming and schematic design process led us down the path of creating a “Civic Event Center” linking both the existing Civic Center and the existing Trolley House with amenities such as shared restrooms, a warming kitchen and storage. These amenities will serve each building. The Civic Center will primarily serve as a museum, the Trolley Station a banquet hall, and outside a park pavilion and plaza to serve the community. This improved facility will generate revenue for the City of Middleton through facility rentals and be a location for City functions. Construction will begin in the summer of 2014.
